On June 10, 2022, at approximately 8:20 p.m., the Windsor Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Indian Trail Drive in regard to a report of a shooting involving injuries to an 8-year old male.
Upon arrival, officers determined that the involved injuries were not life-threatening, and an investigation was initiated. The boy was treated at an area hospital for minor injuries. Further investigation determined that the father, a 38-year old male, had unintentionally discharged a firearm which struck the boy, who was in an adjacent room.
This investigation remains ongoing and there is no threat to public safety. No additional updates will be provided on this case until Monday, June 13, 2022, at the soonest.
