Windsor Police Arrest Suspect Involved in Hotel Shooting, Investigation Continues

A suspect has been arrested for involvement in an early morning shooting at a Windsor, Colorado, hotel. The suspect, identified as 48-year old Johnny Torres, of Casper, Wyoming, was involved in a disturbance with a male victim who was transported to a local hospital for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Torres is being charged with the following:

  • Assault in the first degree – Class 3 Felony
  • Menacing – Class 5 Felony
  • Possession of weapons by previous offender – Class 5 Felony
  • Reckless endangerment – Class 3 Misdemeanor

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty.
