Windsor Police Respond to Homicide, Suspect Fled Crime Scene

Windsor Police need help identifying the whereabouts of a suspect involved in a shooting that resulted in the death of an adult victim. On Monday, February 24, at 8:11 p.m., the Windsor Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 400 block of Sundance Drive. One victim was found on scene.  The person of interest in this case has been identified as 34 year-old Kaman Morgan of Windsor. He was last seen leaving the area of the incident in a black or dark maroon Nissan Maxima sedan bearing a Colorado license plate CAK-150 and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Officers are actively and aggressively investigating this incident. If anyone knows his whereabouts or has any information about this case, they are asked to call Commander Robert Holt of the Windsor Police Department at 970-674-6400. At this time, there is no further information specific to this case.

Information about the victim is not being released at this time due to family notifications not yet being complete. The Weld County Coroners Office will release further information about the deceased. An autopsy is expected either today or tomorrow and the Coroners Office will make a final, official determination on the cause of death. 

While there are rumors of a child being involved, no children were harmed in this incident.
